1/2 marathon

I ran the HALF MARATHON on Oct. 11.  My one and only goal was to beet my personal record of 1 hour 41 minutes.  And I did.

I got 4th place out of all the girls, and 9th overall.  (yes it was a small run).  My finally time was 1 hour 40 minutes 37 seconds.  My pace per mile was 7:41.  Ya I meet my goal!!!

I had a friend race with me who also beet her PR.  It has been fun training with Tara even though we didn't run the race together.  I sure to love to run.  It makes me happy.

parents in town

Grandma & Grandpa Kanooth came to visit us for a couple of days.  It was really nice to have them in our home.  Each day we headed off for a small adventure and then spent the evening playing games or watching the news.  We made cookies, ate out, went to parks, and even got to visit the Dam.  It was a really nice week.

Some October Happenings

Here are some fun things that happened in October....

We went to the petting zoo at the Lewiston Fair.  Savannah fell in love with the goats.

We went to a corn maze at Sheewood farms.  Savannah won the greased pig.  It was so cute.

We went to pick out pumpkins at a ward members garden.  And then we painted them.

The twins saved up enough "working" money to go and buy a toy at the store.  Savannah picked out a pony while Micah bought some cars.

We finally finished our alphabet wall.  It took us a lot longer then expected.  We started it this summer so it was a truly memorable to finish the letter Z!!!

We went to the park and played with friends

 .

Leif and I got to go on a "real date".  We went and did a Ghost Tour of downtown Lewiston.  We learned a lot about the history of Lewiston and a little bit about ghost.  But is was  a lot of fun.

We went to the HO-Bo ward party. We all got to dress up like a ho-bo.  And of course we did.

We watched General Conference with our friends.  The kids had a lot of fun listening for key words.  And the messages were great.  I sure do love conference.

Eli has started to stand on his one, go up stairs and go DOWN stairs.  He is pretty much a big boy now.

And he turned 11 months.

post trip

On the drive home from Washougal we had 2 eventful stops.  First we stopped at Bonnival Dam.  The kids loved watching the fish swim up the fish ladder and seeing the big generators.  We then drove to Palouse Falls.  It was a truly beautiful waterfall.  We got to eat lunch and go for a small hike.

Trip to Washougal Washington

Our family got to spend a few days in Washougal with family.  Micah & Savannah both got to sleep at the foot of Grandma's bed, so they were so very excited each night to "go to bed".  Grandpa made sure the donuts were bought and lots of ice-cream was in the freezer.  Aunt Lairen became Savannah best friend at "hide-in-seek".

We also got to spend time with some of the Kanooth cousins.  Micah enjoyed playing with cousin Thomas while Savannah got lots of hugs from her older girl cousins.  We spend one day hiking, one day at the Kanooth's property, and one day with baby puppies.  It was truly a relaxing vacation.
