Our Glacier National Park Trip

From July 7-11, 2015, we took a short camping trip up to Glacier National Park.  And it was beautiful.   This was the first "real" camping trip (longer then one night) that our kids went on.  And they did great.  In fact when we were leaving Micah started to cry and told us he didn't get to play enough.  We went on some beautiful hikes, swam in the lake, make awesome dinners, ate smores, went to ranger shows, and enjoyed sleeping in the tent.  It really was a wonderful trip.  I would love to go back in a couple of years and do some "real hiking".  We got to do 2 hikes, each under 3 miles, and that was enough for the kids.

June 2015

I love summer!  And during the month of June we truly got to appreciate a sunny summer.  Our family got a pass to both Hell's Gate State Park and the Asotin Aquatic Center.  So we had a month full of water.  And we even did 2 weeks of swimming lessons.  The twins were so cute during their swimming lessons and almost passed. In fact on the first day Savannah said, "I was the best one in the class!!"
We went camping twice.  Once with the Young Woman for a "pre camp".  I just got called to be the ward camp director.  And so we planned this pre-camp to get all the girls certified. So far I am loving it.  We also went camping with the Lanny's up at Elk River.  We hiked to a beautiful river and Cedar tree.  Leif also bought himself a truck, which is another reason we have started camping!!  He is now in heaven with his "new truck".  My sister Amy had a little baby boy, named Mac, so Grandpa came up for a 3 day visit. We had lots of fun with Papa.  He brought raspberries and cherries from the house, so we made pie and jam together.  It was really fun cooking in the kitchen with Dad.  And we had Father's Day.  I sure love all the Daddies in my life.
