Leif had to work on New Years, so he flew home to Lewiston
while the kids and I drove to Spokane.
We then had a second Christmas.
The twins were so excited to see more presents under the tree for them,
and were ecstatic to see a fire truck and helicopter their size. What also made them smile was the snow
covering the backyard. 3 of my sister were there for Christmas so it
was a full house. And with a full house there
was never a dull moment. We found
ourselves playing in the snow, playing with old toys, shopping with Mother,
going to Dicks, playing ping-pong, rock-climbing and even getting sick
together. One-by-one someone would wake
up with a cough. Yet, we still had fun and
managed to smile.

Christmas Part 1
Christmas 2014 came in 2 parts. We spent the first part in Washougal with Leif and
his family. Our little family was the only one that
stayed the night on Chisrstmas eve, so we got really spoiled on Christmas morning. Grandma made us all waffles and a breakfast casserole. She also made tons of Christmas candy that we ate all too much. As normal Tom bought lots of doughnuts and cookies for the grandkids. We were well feed.
For Christmas this year Micah wanted a helicopter, and race-track. Savannah wanted farm animals. And these simple gifts are what Santa did bring. These kids were so happy with their toys and played with them for the next 5 days straight. Starting this year we have decided to only give the kids 3 presents (like the wise men gave). We then in return concentrate more on service and making gifts for others. The twins each made Daddy a nice painting. They painting pictures for their Grandparents. And they even got me a present. Savannah got me a snow glob and Micah picked me out a candle. Eli was content with bubble bath and plastic spoons. It was a great Christmas Morning.
Becky and Steve came up with their 5 kids. Our kids play really well together, and they had so much fun. I loved seeing the twins play with little Reese.
Leif and I also got to celebrate our 9 year anniversary. We drove down to Portland where we ate lunch at a super cute restaurant call Pok Pok. It was really good Tai Food. Afterwards we took our time an drove around downtown Portland then walked around Pioneer Square. I can't believe it has been 9 years.
funny pictures
One of our new traditions is taking FUNNY pictures of
ourselves in front of the Christmas Tree.
This was our first year doing it... and the kids had a lot of fun with
it. I think we will do it again.
