Getting to know Lewiston

We had 2 whole weeks together as a family before Leif started work.  We took this as an opportunity to get to know our little town.  Leif studied each morning and then we headed out on an adventure.   I really am starting to love my town.  Here are some reasons why little towns are so nice.

#1) The river (which people call the beach).

#2) The running trail.  It goes around the whole inner perimeter of the towns, over 2 bridges and along the river. (but only 4.5 miles long)

#3) Their is no traffic. And the traffic lights are short.

#4) Everyone is so friendly, strangers love to give compliments and talk.

#5) There are some beautiful parks and they are clean!!

#6) Blackberry bushes dot the rivers shoreline (and they make great pies).

#7) The pools cost $1.00 to get into and are free on the weekends. (swim lessons are only 20 bucks)

#8) The libraries have story times at the park and have daily worksheets
 and crafts.

#9) Their is a running club here and they put on 8 races a year.  One being a half marathon.

#10) Everything is much more slow paced and relaxed.

So far I love it here!!!
